Owner and primary designer of Texas Home Plans, Mickey Thompson studied architecture at Texas A&M and Texas Tech Universities and refined his artistic skills at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. He has a degree in Finance, Banking and Real Estate from Texas Tech University, and attended graduate school at Loyola University.
Mickey’s design portfolio includes everything from striking single-family homes to churches and structures for national franchises. Mickey also boasts an extensive background in construction and real estate finance and development, which gives him a unique understanding of all phases of the process.
Mickey has a never-ending creative flare. He believes that the best designs come from listening carefully to a client’s desires and ideas, then calling on the talents of a strong team to put those plans together.
In the drafting room, on the job site, and during his free time, Mickey loves solving problems, both on behalf of his clients and for the greater good. That’s why he has served on the boards of nonprofits funding international missionary work and Christian outreach.

Leslie graduated in 2003 from Lawrence Technological University with a BS in Architecture. She has worked as a draftsman at both a high-end kitchen and bath design firm in Michigan as well as for a residential designer in San Antonio, TX. She has worked with Texas Home Plans since 2006.
As the busy wife of a military Major and the mother of twin three-year-old boys, Leslie is very selective in her work and now designs exclusively for Texas Home Plans. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing or coaching volleyball, and teaching children’s Bible studies.
